I’m back to share a set of handmade cards I made as a thank you gift:
I used a variety of distress inks and rubbed them gently over a Heidi Swapp stencil.
I sprayed the cardstock with some shimmer spray, used glitter cardstock for the sentiments, and then some final touches of sequins.
My little scottie decided the help keep watch over the cards as they were drying.
Hope you are having a wonderful Easter weekend!
The best place to be in this kind of weather is definitely the ocean…
I made these cards for a birthday surfer girl who loves the waves, sand and sun! Oh and she also loves my cards! I cut the surfboard using my awesome, too cool, i love it silhouette cameo. I used distress inks to give the surfboards that fun and vibrant color.
For some final touches I added enamel dots in black, white and gold. I also gave the surfboards a spray of sparkle and frost which gives it a really awesome look! I have to say it…COWABUNGA dude! Hope you are staying cool in the heat =)
Everyone needs a hero…how about a few heroes that think you are simply marvelous?
I made this card using the awesome Stitched Duo 3 dies from Pretty Pink Posh. I love her products! This is a shaker card but it’s a bit hard to tell from the photographs.
And yes, hero arts ombre inks for the fun background…these inks are here to stay!
It’s that time of year…Graduation!
My cousin said the funniest thing to me one time – Something along the lines that of all the people she knows (which is a lot) she doesn’t know anyone who has graduated more times than me! haha. I guess I am the perpetual student =)
Hence, I made this card for a friend who is graduating from Dental School this June!
I thought it would be fun and playful to have a little tooth throwing up graduation hats after a ceremony! Happy graduation season to all you crazy students out there! =) And welcome summer…we are ready for you!
I imagine that most dogs are like my dogs and enjoy selfies…and sticking their tongues out the window while I’m driving!
So here is to doggie selfies! heheh! Most of my friends and family are doggie lovers – so I am making a ton of puppy cards to send their way in the next few weeks! I think these pups are just too adorable!
I used the same color for the puppy paw print background to color the vellum! I love the blue and gray tones of the card. I think it makes a good masculine card too!
Hope you and your furry friend are having a wonderful week!
Hands down my favorite stamp set of ALL time…that’s saying a lot!
I used my hero arts ombre inks with the brush stroke stamp from My Favorite Things to create a painted scene.
I have a whole stash of glasses eyelets/brads that need to be used so I thought it would be cute to add it to the little pup!
Finally, I used colored inks to color the vellum paper to continue the rainbow theme around the card! Overall, love love loving it!
Here is a cute little postcard to send in the mail…
I love the photobomb gals!
Every now and then a stamp set comes along that just makes me squeal with happiness…yes, I said squeal!
I love this stamp set because it reminds me of the Oscars selfie that was so popular a few years ago! I used versa mark to create the air mail background and just love how it turned out. This stamp set is great to use because you get to practice all the fun copic coloring!
The smile sentiment is just to die for because the script goes with every sentiment! Hope you get a smile in the mail really soon from someone you love!
At last…they have arrived and Yes, they were worth the wait:
These ink pads are just so awesome! As you can see they have three separate ink pad strips in one. The best way to get a great result is to pat the stamp back and forth so that the colors blend together. I absolutely love the results.
The color combinations are great for sentiments and background stamps!
So excited because these ink pads are perfect for Spring theme cards! =) Happy Spring!
OMG OMG OMG! My card was featured in Kristina Werner’s February 2015 Mail Call!
Do you see it? It’s the pink shaker heart card on the upper left corner! (see video at 6 minute mark) Woop Woop! I am over the moon happy because I absolutely love all of Kristina’s cards, techniques, and stamp/stencils.
TA DA – As you may recall, here is the card and previous blog post! When I first started stamping, I watched all of Kristina’s youtube tutorial videos and purchased all of the products she recommended for beginners. Flash forward 5 years later and I am still watching her videos and purchasing her products!
Thank you Kristina for featuring my card in the February 2015 mail call! I am happy as a clam…
Or should I say… Happy as two scottie pups!=)
I love this card because the sentiment is so sweet and so are the little pandas:
I made the shaker window using a die cut for 3×4 pocket cards. I love how the edges are rounded off. For the sky background and hillside, I used a combination of pink chalk inks from memento and distress inks.
I wanted to create that summer sky where everything looks like cotton candy. Yum! For the final touches, I added pretty pink posh sequins for the shaker card. It is hard to tell from the photos but the pandas are standing in front of the clear window so it adds some dimension. Remember that somewhere out there, you are loved by someone, everyday. period. =)
It’s a popular saying when you have two little pups running around the house! lol
I made this mouse and cheese shaker card using stamps from Sweet Stamp Shop! I love the stamps because they are so adorable and have the funniest sentiments.
I used the trick from Jennifer McGuire and glued a few sequins in the shaker card area so it doesn’t look so empty when you are holding it up. Finally, I used some red foiled paper to create the tiny bow and added bling to the center. I love the little expression of the mouse – he cracks me up!
Looking forward to spending the weekend eating lots of chocolate and smelling flowers!
I am back with some fun watercolors again and I am still crazy about this “happy” sentiment die.
I added multiple layers to make the happy sentiment pop up! The top layer was red foil paper which looks so great for a valentine’s day card.
Hope you are spending a wonderful weekend with your loved ones!
Everyone needs a hero! And, in this case it is a super girl…
I love this mover and shaker die from Papertry Ink because it allows you to put any stamped image and create an interactive card.
I added some distress inks to the background to give it that fun pop of color and then gold embossed the sentiment “You are my hero” onto the fluffy white cloud.
No card is completed without some pretty pink posh sequins and gold foil stars! Be sure to tell your hero that you love them today =)
OMG. Hilarious. Can I say anything more?
Here’s a closer look at the cutie little mouse:
Finally the hilarious part. The inside of the card reveals…
Mr. Muffled! ahahha! I drew in the duct tape with a black marker and added a little glitter to give it that metallic sheen!! I made this card for my funny and witty friend who if she could…would duct tape everyone! Including me!
