Once I saw this sentiment stamp I knew I had to make this card for my BFF:
Seriously, I love this stamp from Riley and Company. They have really funny and witty sentiments perfect for those silly people in your life.
For the dresses, I stamped and cut them out from patterned paper. I made the stars using texture paste and added some green glitter on top.
For some final touches, I made the banner using washi tape and added Pretty Pink Posh pink and yellow sequins. This card makes me laugh and I hope it brings a giggle to you!
I have enough airmail stationary to last a lifetime…and then some!
So here is another airmail card!
I added vellum over calender patterned paper. (A bit hard to see in the photos but it looks really cute!) I love adding all the different layers and textures to the card.
Love love love!
I am always a little behind on the trends in stamping…But I am glad when I get caught up:
I finally picked up some Tim Holtz watercolor paper. It is amazing! I can’t believe what a difference it makes when using distress inks.
I love using the gold foiled paper for the background and balloon!
The worse it looks while you are adding distress inks to the watercolor paper – the better it will be when it dries! Love that.
I am turning into a huge fan of Heidi Swapp’s color sprays! I got a few bottles this past weekend and I couldn’t wait to use them!
I tried the sprays with different stencils and got these results:
My favorite technique turned out to be just flicking the spray bottle onto the cardstock! And here is my card…
Hope you are having a great weekend!
I’m back with a fun halloween card!
I love this fun color combination for this spooky time of year! I used distress inks to get that lovely green/yellow layers.
This stamp set from Lawn Fawn is just too cute! Nothing scary here just lots of “boo!”
Wish me luck on the Lawnscaping Halloween Challenge!
I made a custom card and thought it would be so cute to put names on the little kids!
I love adding all the different layers and embellishments. Here is closer look:
I love the sweet little expressions and the sentiments from this stamp set are so versatile!
Hope this brings a smile to the heart! More cute air mail cards on its way… =)
Here is my attempt of combining different textures and layers! For the background, I used embossing paste to create the rainbow polkadot background.
I just love sprinkling glitter on the embossing paste before it dries completely. It adds a little sparkle that makes you smile when you see it!
Love the gold thread behind the cute little bunny!
I can’t believe it is already October! Time to get ready for Christmas cards!
It must be a fish! lol?!
I wanted to make a cute duck shaker card but he looked lonely in the waters so I made a little fish friend to keep him company! For the clouds, I used some white foam and then added wink of stella.
I just love the green/teal sequins – it give that pop of color when the card gets shaken! And like the sentiment says remember to: Smiles. Be Happy!
Fun facts about ducks: Most male ducks are silent and very few ducks actually “quack.” Instead, their calls may include squeaks, grunts, groans, chirps, whistles, brays and growls.
I was trying to make a fun and playful card after seeing this adorable stamp set from Mama Elephant. Here is what I came up with…
Check out the inside…
Here is a closer look…
Hopes this brings a smile to you today! =P
Wishing all the dads out there a wonderful Father’s Day!
I came across this funny quote that said, “Nothing scares me. I have 3 daughters.” True, and totally hilarious. Happy Happy Father’s Day!!!
I heart bacon.
This is the card to my heart! Oink oink!
I could not stop giggling when I saw this saying on a canvas art print…
Later, I decided to round the corners of the card to give it a finished look:
It is a total ROFL-worthy card!!! Love Love Love!
A dear friend of mine has the best job wherein he gets to travel the world…
Over the years, I have kept all the postcards from all the different countries he has visited.
I decided to keep a project life chapter for all the postcards and I hope that that one day I will be able to travel to all these wonderful places!
I look forward to all the funny messages and stories my friend shares with me from abroad. The other week I got a postcard from Perth Australia which had been all over the news!
So lucky to have such wonderful friends! Safe travels!
I decided to do a little baking for Mother’s Day this year…
Of course, it is craft baking! I absolutely adore all things made by Lori Whitlock – she is so talented and creative! To start, I printed out all of the pieces so it would make the assembly process easier.
I used two types of patterned papers for the aprons which I thought would be great for Mother’s Day with all the fun floral patterns.
Originally, for the apron pockets I used colored card stock but it was really hard to see the Happy Mother’s Day sentiment. After a few tries, I changed the pockets to white so the sentiment would stand out.
I attached the apron pockets to the apron and made sure to push it down very firmly so that the pocket would stay in place.
For final touches, I added the ribbon and utensils! Seriously, doesn’t the spatula just kill you with cuteness? I also love the rolling pin! *squeal*
Like all great recipes, this card was made with lots of love! I can’t wait for Mother’s Day this year. So excited to send these to all the wonderful mom’s in my life!
I was inspired to make a different kinda of card this week for my mom. She loves lots of embellishments and bling. Lol.
I love all the fun colors! After this post I ended up adding a strip of the colored paper right above the “mom” sentiment which help give the card a nice balance.
Hope this card adds a little pop of color to your day!!
