We Look Good!

This is the funniest birthday card ever.

EVER! Rofl! I have the greatest friends!

Chihuahua Mama!

If you are a chihuahua mama you are going to love this post!

My dear friend is a proud mother of a little chihuahua and so I made her a few cute little things including this fancy birthday card.  For the card, I used the leftovers from my vinyl transfer cut out and used gold ink for the chihuahua.  (What can I say – leftovers are awesome!) For some finishing touches, I added a sprinkle of enamel dots and a little glitter heart for the collar. Next up, a must have chihuahua mama accessory:

This canvas tote bag is wonderful!  It is very sturdy with pockets everywhere.  It also has a zipper to close the top which is great for traveling.  I found the little chihuahua from the Silhouette store.  I used flocked heat transfer vinyl which matches the velvet black trim of the bag.    For a personal touch, I monogrammed the back of the tote bag using a spring font from the Silhouette store.

Isn’t the font so sweet? I just love the fun-happy feeling I get when I see it! A few months back, I purchased a canvas block art of a Scottie which I absolutely loved.  I found on Etsy this adorable chihuahua wood block art that can be placed on a book shelf or wall mounted.

Tell me that the glasses and bow tie doesn’t kill you with cutenesssssssssss! Finally, I made a little canvas bag to put the artwork inside (which can be later used as a lingerie laundry bag!)

Needless to say, I can’t wait to make all of these things in the Scottie version for me! hehe!

Blue Birds Smiling at Me…

I love this little bird.

I made another series of birthday cards which I like to call “How Many Fingers Are You” for all the Spring babies!  For this card, I used embossing paste and glitter to create the raised hearts and added some light blue bling and white enamel dots.

Happy May!

Chickies in Glitter!

Must have been the Saving Mr. Banks movie that I watched which gave me a Mary Poppins inspiration for this card…

As you can see, I am still crazy about the embossing paste and glitter combo.  It looks so beautiful in real life!

For some finishing touches I sprayed the clouds with a glitter mist and gave the chickies nose a little glossy accents.

I love this stamp set Thanks for stopping by!

Glitter-where have you been all my life?

Okay, a long long long time ago (when I first started stamping) I bought a glitter stamp pad from Martha Stewart and never really fell in love with it.

Flash forward years later – Glitter is my new love! I  just looooooooooooooooooooove how this looks!  Granted, I am covered in glitter from head to toe and so is my poor little Scottie by the end of the night! lol.

So in order to achieve this look – I used double sided adhesive sheets and just rubbed the glitter in stages so that I could reuse it later.  It’s not too hard once you practice a few times.  Below is the very first glitter card I made.

I tried using the distress glitter on this dress (do you recognize the peacock color?) and it didn’t turn out too bad.  I think I will stick with the Martha Stewart glitters because I love the brightness and shine it gives off.  Absolutely stunning! Love Love Love.

Happy Thoughts!

Always a good idea to have happy thoughts on your birthday!

This card really made me love the wink of stella clear glitter pen even more!!! I used it for the finishing touches on the wooden hearts – so cute right?  A few months ago, I went on a craze a bought a ton of these little license plates. I love how they add just a little something extra.

I can’t get enough of these new puffy stickers that have great shapes like arrows, hearts, etc.  I think it adds a lot of layers and textures to cards.  I also used patterned paper from a halloween paper pad!

Bears also like to shake shake it!

I just love shaker cards!

There is just something so delightful when you shake the cards then beads, bling, and little goodies bounce around!

Hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend!
