Beautiful Bokeh!

Sometimes, it is really the paper that makes the card:

My bff sent me this wonderful bokeh paper from Lawn Fawn and gosh we both just love it!

The bokeh paper just screams winter wonderland and it reminds me of snow! I made two versions of this card:

No such thing as too much red or reindeers right!?

Rudolph would be proud!

Box of Christmas Kisses!

This year I made a lot of Christmas Card Box sets as gifts which gives me (and hopefully my recipient) a lot of joy:

To give it some personal touches I added a great pen, stamps, and a few little snowflakes.

I love these cards because it has a lot of dimension and embossing paste as snow.

A box of handmade cards is a great idea to give all year round because everyone needs cards for the holidays!

Holiday Update!

Hello everyone! Ack! I have neglected my blog but I have a legit excuse:  I have been busy hoarding my holiday supplies for the X-mas season.  Case in point:

stamp1.jpg

Ugh! These stamps are so adorable. I love the throw back Rudolph stamps and I am excited to watch these movies (Snoopy!) during the holiday season.   Onto more craft goodies, I picked up this awesome washi tape:

Plaid is all the craze right now so it’s perfect that there is plaid washi! And of course, my favorite X-mas goodie for this season are these adorable stamps from Mama Elephant and these adorable sticker Santa Hats.

Umm..glitter and bling in one hat? Yes to die for!

Actually, I’ve been making a ton of Holiday cards but I haven’t had a chance to take some pictures…but I will this weekend!  In the mean time, I will share this adorable gift tag my bff made using the oh-so-cute reindeers:

tag

I love how she used the Lawn Fawn Bokeh paper for the tag and added all the little details. Ack! So cute…More cards on route!

Halloween Tags!

My best friend made the cutest Halloween Tags that I just had to share with everyone…

halloweentag1

Aren’t these adorable! She made vellum tags using the pretty pink posh die cut and stamped the sentiments on it.  She then used patterned paper for the cool background.  Love love love! These will be tied around candy bars for Halloween! I’m getting a sweet tooth just thinking about it =)

Mother’s Day Part 2

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful Moms, Mums, Ma, Me, Mama, Maman!!!

mday4

I was inspired by a pinterest of a kitchen aid mixer shape card! It was so adorable.  I decided to scale mine back a bit and use this beautiful glitter paper pack I have been hoarding for years. Most of the patterned paper is from Martha Stewart circa 2010. lol.  Thank goodness no expiration date on patterned paper.

mday3

I love the background paper (which is from DCWV) but it is hard to see in photographs! For the final touches I added some spring flowers, butterflies, and bling to give it a little more dimension.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Mother’s Day filled with love and happiness…!!!

And maybe a cute little cupcake too! xoxo

Sneak peek and a Smile!

Just thought I would share a preview of some mother’s day cards I am working on…

bowl1Every year I enjoy the process of making holiday cards…i.e. trying to figure out cute ideas and then mass producing it! The fun is in the planning and preparation I swear!  Here’s the throwback to last year’s Mother’s Day cards:

If you are anything like me you must have a bunch of project life cards stored away because they are too fancy to use! I turned some project life 3×4 cards into a shaker card for Valentine’s Day.

xo2

It’s so hard to capture the sequins shaking around in a photograph but this heart shaker is filled with lots of fun pink and gold sequins.  I used vellum and embossed gold circles and the  sentiment.  The project life card is from Heidi Swapp’s gold foil kit.  love love!  I am glad I scooped up the kit because it has been sold out for weeks at my local craft store.

Did I mention that Tim Holtz’s tiny attacher is totally awesome.  To turn the staples into gold, I used a Gold Sharpie Metallic marker. So cute and adorable!

Unconventional Valentine’s Day

Something a little different for valentine’s day this year:

vday1

I was attempting to make a non-cutesy valentine’s day card and came up with the idea of adding little touches of pink distress inks around the die cut stitched circles:

vday2

I really like how soft and subtle the card came out! Aren’t these stitched dies and borders adorable?  To make the happy sentiment, I applied distress inks to the edges and then used two coats of clear embossing powder to give it that “dome” look.

vday3

For the final touches I added sequins and gold thread to give it that pop of color! More fun valentine’s day cards to come!

Hello Heidi Swapp!

So I walked into my local Michaels and simply fell in love with this Heidi Swapp Gold Foil Kit for Project life:

swapp1

It is so pretty!!! I have made about three different Project Life pages using the beautiful gold foiled cards.  As if that were not enough, I decided to make some shaker cards from the 3×4 Project Life cards and this is what I came up with:

swapp2

Again, I used the Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder and made the background on Vellum.  I used a heart die cut to make the little window and filled the shaker with an assortment of sequins. Shake shake shake!

So pretty and it looks so glamorous too!
