Shaking it up for Christmas!

I had to include one more shaker Christmas card for the holiday season!

For this card, I was trying to make a snow globe shaker card. I used a circle die and just added the base to the globe.

I added the little presents and gloves from a cute little mini treat set from Papertrey Ink.  Love love love!

Friends Make the Holidays…

Merry and Bright! Especially, if they like to surf!

I was asked to make a custom Christmas card for a surf instructor. Using a Heidi Swapp stencil I added embossing paste and glitter for a simple background. I like how it looks like snow or bubbles.

I found these awesome surf boards from the Silhouette store. I used distressed inks and sponge daubers to color each of the boards.

For some finishing touches, I added glossy accents to the yellow surfboard and wink of stella to the green board.  My favorite part was adding in the santa hats and winter gloves!

Cowabunga Christmas!

Candy Shakers!

As a kid, my favorite Christmas treat were those rainbow candy canes…Yum!

For this card, I tried to create that fun-happy-candy feeling! Do you have a tooth ache?

This card just makes me happy because I love mixing all the different patterned papers.

I have a few more holiday shaker cards but for now I will be experimenting with some new techniques for Christmas cards! Christmas shaker card series to be continued!
