“May your days be merry and bright…
And May all your Christmases be white!” (Or white and fluffy).
Even sleepy Scotties need to take a selfie…hehe!
After a weekend filled with dog beaches, long walks, and doggie bakeries…My Scotties were super sleepy on the car ride home! lol! Caught them snoozing away on my lap! They are so sweet!
I made several thank you cards for all the wonderful friends and family in my life! As you can see, I am still hooked on the Scottie nautical theme!
I just love the little anchors and the sail boat! The Paper Smooches sentiment was perfect for these cards!
Thank you for all the love! Muah!
Drop Your Drawers – It’s Laundry Time!
This weekend, I discovered the joy of Silhouette’s Heat Transfer Vinyl!!! I purchased the starter kit which had a few sheets of vinyl and tools:
I got my starter kit for a pretty good deal. I don’t think I would recommend getting the starter kit at full price because you can buy individual sheets and get more for your money that way.
I do a lot of traveling and I needed a lingerie laundry bag to keep all my garments sorted in my suitcase. So I went to some local stores and found these awesome drawstring canvas bags:
After peeling off the excess vinyl sheets, I positioned all of the pieces together to figure out where I wanted everything to be placed on the canvas bag:
To get started, you will need an iron, iron board, and a piece of fabric. I recommend using a piece of fabric that is bigger than your project – that way you don’t have to worry about your iron accidentally making direct contact with the vinyl. I set my iron on the “cotton” level and allowed it to warm up before I started applying the heat.
For the best results, I did one piece of vinyl at a time. I found that after 30 seconds or so of heat, the vinyl will transfer smoothly to the surface. Be sure to move the iron back and forth, especially over the intricate areas, so that the corners do not lift. If you are lucky like me, you will have a little helper who likes to do a lot of ironing!
After peeling off the plastic, I usually run the iron over the sheet and the surface to make sure I got all the small corners. Here is a close-up of the vinyl on the canvas bag:
TA DA! The final result which I absolutely loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
For the back of the bag, I used some leftover scraps that I was about to throw away! Don’t throw away your scraps – you never know when a mistake will turn into something fabulous!
Hope you enjoyed this post! Now it’s time to do laundry!
Here is a little gift for a scottie mom…
I got the inspiration from a mama elephant post which featured the honey bunny stamp set with this background.
I thought it was so cute to have the stars in the background of the city scene. A perfect evening for two little scotties!
Scotties + Washi Tape = adorable!
I have been wanting to use the Scottie die cut and this idea came to me while I was working with the washi tape.
I can’t tell you how hard it was to get my two scotties to pose for this photo! I had treats in one hand and camera in the other! lol
This card is available for purchase on my etsy site! (Actual Scotties not included lol)
